Services

Six things I build, and I build all of them myself. No account manager, no handover, and no junior doing the actual work while my name sits on the invoice. The prices below are starting points — the real number comes after we have talked about what you need, and I put it in writing before anything begins.

01

Websites

A proper website for your business, built from scratch around what you actually sell.

from R7 500

Trades, installers and professional firms who want a site that looks like their business, not like a template.

This is most of what I do. The pages your business actually needs, written and laid out around your services and your customers, rather than a template with your logo dropped into it. Anything from a handful of pages to thirty.

It is built to be quick and to stay up. Nothing to log into every week, no plugins to keep updating, and nothing that stops working when some subscription lapses. Your words, your photographs and your fonts all live on your own site, so it does not depend on anyone else staying online. When it is finished it belongs to you.

What it includes

  • As many pages as the business needs — services, projects, about, contact, whatever it takes
  • Your brand colours and fonts used properly, and checked so every word stays easy to read
  • Your own photographs, resized so pages open quickly on a phone and on a slow connection
  • An enquiry form that actually reaches you, and a WhatsApp button people will use
  • Checked on phones, tablets and desktops before it goes anywhere near live
  • No monthly licence and nothing to log into — the site is yours to keep

02

Automations & integrations

The admin you do by hand every week, done for you instead.

from R4 500

Anyone whose team spends hours a week moving the same information between a form, a spreadsheet and a chat app.

Most small businesses run on copy and paste. An enquiry arrives, somebody retypes it into a spreadsheet, somebody forwards it to a WhatsApp group, and by Friday nobody is certain which ones were answered. I join the steps up so the retyping stops.

I want to watch you do the job by hand once before I build anything, because this is only worth paying for if it matches what actually happens rather than what the process is meant to be. Then I build it so that when something does go wrong you hear about it, instead of quietly losing a week of enquiries.

What it includes

  • A walk through how you do it now, before anything gets built
  • The connection itself — forms, spreadsheets, email, WhatsApp, calendars, invoicing, whichever pair is eating the hours
  • Sensible behaviour when something fails, so nothing is duplicated or lost
  • A plain record you can read yourself of what ran and when
  • A trial run on your real information before it touches anything live
  • Notes on how to pause it, change it, or switch it off entirely

03

WhatsApp widgets

A WhatsApp button that arrives with the enquiry already written out.

from R2 500

Any business where enquiries arrive on WhatsApp and half the conversation is spent asking the same questions again.

Enquiries land on WhatsApp as "hi, how much?" and then take six messages to work out what the person actually wants. This asks those questions on your website first, and hands you a message with the answers already in it.

You choose the questions — what they need, where they are, how urgent it is, whatever tells you a lead is worth chasing. It opens the WhatsApp app on a phone and WhatsApp Web on a computer, and it can send to a different number depending on the branch or the department. It drops into the site you already have, whoever built it.

What it includes

  • A set of questions you decide on, in your own words
  • Opens straight into WhatsApp with the answers already typed out
  • Sends to different numbers by branch, area or department
  • Fits onto the site you already have, whoever built it
  • Works the same on a phone and on a computer
  • No monthly fee, and no third party sitting between you and your leads

04

Internal tools & dashboards

The spreadsheet your business runs on, rebuilt as something that won't break.

from R14 000

Teams whose day runs on a shared spreadsheet, a WhatsApp group and one person’s memory.

There is usually one shared spreadsheet that half the company has open at the same time. Rows get overwritten, nobody knows who changed what, and the person who built it is the only one who really understands it. That works right up until it does not.

I replace it with something built for the job: the same information, but a proper screen for each task, a history nobody can quietly edit, and logins so people only see what they should. On the dashboard side, one screen that answers the question you keep asking, instead of an export somebody reformats every morning.

What it includes

  • A screen for each job, instead of one spreadsheet trying to do everything
  • A record of who changed what, and when
  • Logins, so people only see what they need to
  • The numbers you check daily on one screen, keeping themselves up to date
  • Usable on a phone, for the people who are not sitting at a desk
  • Built so it can be added to later without starting again

05

Software development

Custom software, built and looked after by the person who wrote it.

from R22 500

Businesses with a process no off-the-shelf product fits, or a subscription that has stopped earning what it charges.

For when nothing off the shelf quite fits, or when the subscription you have been paying for has stopped being worth what it costs. Something built around the way your business actually works, rather than the other way round.

You deal with me from the first conversation to the last, and afterwards. No account manager relaying messages, no junior doing the work with somebody else’s name on the invoice. It is built in stages, so you see something working early and can change direction before the expensive part.

What it includes

  • A scoping stage first, and a fixed number before the building starts
  • Built in stages, so you see it working early rather than at the end
  • You speak to the person writing it, start to finish
  • The code is yours, with the notes to run it without me
  • Set up and handed over in your own accounts, not mine
  • Support afterwards if you want it, and nothing locked to me if you do not

06

Anything custom

Think it, I make it. Tell me the awkward idea nobody else would take on.

from R3 500

Anyone with an idea that fits no category and has been told it is too small, too odd or not worth the trouble.

Some jobs do not fit a category. A one-off tool, an odd little app, a thing you have described three times and been told is too small to bother with. Those are usually the interesting ones.

Tell me what it should do and I will tell you straight whether it is worth building, roughly what it costs, and whether there is a cheaper way to get the same result. If I think you should not build it at all, I will say so.

What it includes

  • A straight answer on whether it is worth building in the first place
  • A fixed price before anything starts
  • Small jobs welcome — there is no minimum worth bothering with
  • Built quickly, and shown to you early
  • Yours to keep, with nothing tied back to me
  • An honest no, if there is a simpler way to get what you want

Not on the list? Ask anyway.

Most of what I build started as somebody describing a problem out loud.
