Websites
A proper website for your business, built from scratch around what you actually sell.
Most of what I do. The pages your business needs, laid out around your services and your customers rather than dropped into a template. Anything from a handful of pages to thirty.
- Good fit
- A business with real work to show and a site that needs to be quick, accurate, and left alone once it is live.
- Not a fit
- Not for you if you want a template with your logo dropped in, or a site built on stock photographs of somebody else’s work.
Built around what you sell
The starting point is your service list, not a design. What you do, who you do it for, and what somebody needs to know before they pick up the phone. That decides the pages, and the pages decide everything else.
Your own photographs and your own wording wherever they exist. If they do not exist yet, I will tell you what to get rather than filling the gaps with stock pictures of somebody else’s work.
Quick, and left alone
It opens fast on a phone on a bad connection, because that is where most enquiries come from. There is nothing to log into every week, no plugins to keep updating, and nothing that stops working when a subscription lapses.
I set the hosting up and hand it over in your own account. If we never speak again, the site keeps running exactly as it is.
What you get
- The pages your business actually needs, agreed before anything is built
- Your logo, colours and photographs used properly throughout
- An enquiry form that reaches you, and a WhatsApp button people will use
- Checked on a phone, a tablet and a computer before it goes live
- Hosting set up and handed over in your own account
- No monthly licence and nothing to log into
How it runs
- 01 The page list We agree what pages exist before a line of it is built. This is where most of the cost is decided.
- 02 Words and pictures I work out what already exists and what is missing, and tell you what I need from you.
- 03 Build Built around your content and your brand, with something to look at partway through rather than only at the end.
- 04 Live Checked properly, put live, and handed over with everything in your own account.
Straight answers
- What does the starting price cover?
- It is where a small site starts, not an average. Where it lands depends on how many pages there are and how much already exists — words, photographs, a logo. I quote once I have seen those, and the number does not move afterwards unless you change the job.
- Can you rebuild the site I already have?
- Yes, and several of these were exactly that. I keep your brand and your photography and fix the structure underneath, rather than starting the look from nothing.
- Can I edit it myself?
- Not by default, because most people ask for that and then never use it. If you want it, it is priced on the pricing page and I will build it in. Otherwise you send me changes.
- How long does it take?
- I will not put a number on it before I have seen the page list and know whether the words and photographs exist. Those two things change the answer more than anything else.
